The feeder has the following main components: a free-standing chassis/weighing system combination, a stainless steel screw trough, an agitator in the screw trough, a twin screw, a screw tube, a DC smart motor , and an extension hopper for bulk material storage.
Hygienic Design (HD) Version
- The weighing system, gearbox and motor are protected from contamination by a rounded stainless steel housing.
- The screw tube and screw trough as well as the screw trough and drive are connected with quick-release rings so that the screws and agitator can be removed without tools.
- Parts in contact with bulk material are made of stainless steel 1.4404 (316 L), roughness depth < 0.4 µm, or FDA-compliant materials
